About AIDA certification
AIDA publishes the education levels and the public instructor record. These courses are conducted by Waqar Ahmed Khan, an officially approved AIDA instructor, through Pakistan Spearfishing, his website at pakistanspearfishing.com. The two entry courses in Karachi are an introductory pool course and a beginner course that continues into open water.
His public AIDA record lists him as an active instructor who teaches AIDA1 and AIDA2, among other levels. Certification is issued only when a student meets the current AIDA standard for that level. Session plans on this page describe the Pakistan Spearfishing package. Confirm the latest depth, breath-hold, and eligibility requirements with Waqar before you book.
Where you train
Pool sessions are confined-water training. Open-water days on the AIDA 2 package are guided on the Karachi coast. AIDA 1 does not include deep-sea dives.
